New Monetary Culture

Our core team for the OurNexChange Southern Oregon Community Exchange will expand today. We are to meet to review models, discuss the results of our summit meeting, discuss next steps, and discover who our team will expand to include. This is a very exciting moment.

This site is pretty full with components now that will help us get a great start on collaborative thinking and resourcing.

Please come in, look around, get into your profile, add links there, add a group of your very own (especially if you have an exchange system), and give some thought to possible wiki pages that we can all collaborate on. Your imagination will be well supported by this system, and if there is something missing, just let me know.

During this initiation process, I am fully available for questions, or support. Just email me through this system. go to my profile and send from there.

Time is of the essence. We, here in Ashland, are shaping up the local team, soon to meet again. We need the support this site and our collaborative consortium will provide. We all do.

If we jump on board and invite others we know are interested, then we have a good chance.

Upload documents

Now, inside of each group, you will see a ’documents’ menu item. You can upload any kind of document apparently, though I have not tested the extent of that.

New profile fields

I added a few fields just to let us know of the  possibilities. Let me know if you have ideas to add to profiles. Do visit your profile and notice all tabs in the section. Add the URL for your exchange system, etc.

Group Wiki

PNWCEC now has a group Wiki. We can develop our common statements, goals, standards, legal docs, etc. Other groups can also have Wiki’s, so i just need to receive a request to set up.

Upload documents

Now, inside each group, you will see a menu item ”Documents” to use to upload the following document extention types:

odt, rtf, txt, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pps, pptx, pdf, jpg, jpeg, gif, png, zip, tar, gz

These docs will be visible inside the group you uploaded to. and so will be public or private depending on the group itself.

Links

You can now create links through your profile and they will be identified as yours in the public views

There is more. I will update this over time.

Do create a group for your own Exchange system. And we will soon decide what other groups are essential and what types of additional systems we need.

One of the forums is about the system itself. Groups other than PNWCEC are starting to form so the public can become aware of progress and start to become engaged.

Introduction to modern Trade and Barter

This is a collaboration website.  Groups can be formed and members invited from your ‘friend’ connections.

The purpose of the site is to discover new possibilities for a new monetary and economic culture.

This is a new site and we will learn to develop it to serve a very great purpose.
