It is a great day for you to log into the Interactive Web Portal For Creative Change.
The best way to realize how you might benefit from and use this communication portal is by visiting each link presented to you.
Start with ‘My Account’ in the ‘Interactive Web Portal’ navigation bar across the very top of the web page.
Then move around in the ‘tab’ links below the POD circles.
The central areas we will first focus:
- Group communications is our primary purpose. When you signed up, you were automatically joined to “all members” and “center to all members”. The first is simply to be connected to everyone signed onto the site. The second is for the Center facilitators to communicate with all members.
- You may also have joined a few groups during sign up. And you can join more,.
- Email communications
- Get into your email message system via the ‘my account’ link.
- As is, you need to be in a ‘friend’ connection to use the ‘send to’ in the compose section, where you type a the name or username of people to email, and no ‘drop down’ is available.
- Or go to an individual member to ‘send a private message’
- Enter one of your groups, click on members, then on member name to send a public or private message
- Or simply post a ‘what’s new’ message in your group, to post to the whole group. Members can comment.
- Group messaging is in development, and we will provide more info soon.
We have turned of the “Friend” feature which was required for communications, as a new system is being tested to bypass that and save you steps. Just belonging to a group gives you the ability to communicate to it’s members.
